CD Sunday Challenge - Sketch

This weeks challenge on CD Sunday is Sketch.  They have supplied a sketch of how the card should be laid out and we make a card following the layout on any theme we wish.

I decided to do my Dad and Stepmum's 25th Wedding Anniversary card using the sketch and I think it has worked very nicely.  They honeymooned in Paris so I used a picture of the Eiffel Tower as the main picture.  I then used a die cut circle of silver mirri card on which I placed a message in peel offs.  There is also a greeting on the ribbon that runs through the middle.

All this is on a background taken from MCS Papercraft Library Vol 7.

May Challenge on Debbees CDs DT Delights

So happy May Day to all and welcome to the May Challenge on Debbees CDs.  This month we have gone Oriental with 3 Japanese/Chinese (not sure which) dolls.

I choose to do a fan shaped card in keeping with the theme, this I cut on my Craft Robo.  I then used it again to cut the backing paper.  I threaded pale blue organza ribbon through the holes before attaching to the base card.  I used the 2 decoupage layers for each of the dolls and placed around the fan.  The corner detail was made teabag style using 3 small versions of the tile paper (shrunk in MCS)with a pink gem from stash.  I then made 2 small and 1 large ribbon bows and attached these with silicone.

If you like what you see please hop over to Debbees CDs blog and have a go yourself and you could be the lucky winner and get to choose a free CD from her Website and feature as next months Guest Designer.

CD Sunday - Toybox Treasures

Here is my entry for this weeks challenge on CD Sunday.  The theme is Toybox Treasures and scouring through my CD's I found both the Little Girl having a tea party with her dolls (Flippin Kids) and the frame and rest of the toys (Framin cards) on La Pashe's Big One cd.  I cut some of the bits out of the background and used some scrapbook paper from my stash as the wallpaper.  I used some bow brads ( matched to her ribbon) to hold back the easel.

A happy little scene that takes me back to my childhood though it would have been Cindy and Action Man and maybe the odd Tiny Tears having tea not the pretty dolls on this.

Yay - 2nd Blog Challenge in a week

Wanted to enter the 1st Blog Challenge that Inked Paws ran but ran out of time so have made a concerted effort this time and here is my entry for their 2nd Blog Challenge - Spring.

I have used Kelly Rhodes Digi image Fawn Dreams, printed twice and coloured the fawn and flowers in separately then decoupaged the flowers onto the fawn.  The background paper was a freebie in a recent magazine.  Dotty ribbon and green card from stash.

Thanks for looking - all comments welcome

1st time entering a Blog Challenge

Ok so I decided to enter a Blog Challenge for the 1st time.  Have been watching several for a while now and just felt inspired this week to enter so hopefully I have done this right.

I am entering the card below into the CD Sunday blog challenge Spots and Dots.

This was made using The Orange Blossom Crafting Treasury Vol 1 CD.

It is a simple easel card which has a decoupaged image on a dotty background and I have used buttons and brads to hold it back.

Hope you like it.

It's Challenge time again.

Hello again

It's 1st of the month, so it can only mean one thing the new challenge on Debbees CDs DT Delights Blog.  Below is my creation using this month's papers.  If you would like to take part in the challenge hop on over and download the free papers.

To make this I printed the topper sheet onto parchment, embossed the outline and cut it out.  I then cut slits at the side of each of the printed ribbon holes and threaded lilac ribbon through.  I printed the topper again onto 120gsm matte photo paper and cut the fans out and decoupaged them onto the topper.  This was then layered onto purple mirri card and one of the backing papers and attached to a mirri card covered card offset to the left.  I then added purple and silver card candi and a lilac bow to finish it off.
The challenge is open to enter till 25th March.

Have fun.
